01. Sundarbans

The Sundarbans is a natural vast forest in the coastal region of the Bay of Bengal. The Sundarbans has a unique mangrove forest, with an area of approximately 10,000 sq km. It covered area reach across South 24 Parganas and, North 24 Parganas shire of West Bengal State, India, and Khulna, Bagerhat districts of Bangladesh. It recognized in 1997 as a “UNESCO World Heritage Site”. The Sundarbans numerous species of animals, birds, and reptiles, Chital Deer, including Royal Bengal Tiger, Crocodile and Snakes etc, It is a network of marine streams, and mangrove forests. This forest has a famed for Royal Bengal Tiger and beautiful sundori tree. Every year millions of people come to visit this place.

St. Martin’s Island is a small island in the northeastern part of the Bay of Bengal. It is the most visiting place in Bangladesh. There is a little bordering island which is isolated at high tide, called Chera Dwip. It is around 8 kilometers (5 miles) west of the northwest shoreline of Myanmar, at the mouth of the Naf River. The first settlement began 250 years prior by Arabian mariners who named the island ‘Jazeera’. It has a famed for its local names Narikel jinjira which means ‘Coconut Island’ in Bengali, and “Daruchini Dwip” which means “Cinnamon island” in Bengali.It is the massive coral island in Bangladesh.

It was most famous monastic institutions of ancient Bengal. During the period between 9th and 12th century AD, many Tibetian monks visited this place. Mahapanditacharya Bodhibhadra was one of a resident monk at that time. Khan Jahan Ali is the founder of this amazing mosque. It has 60 pillars for its support and 77 domes. The 60 pillars made this mosque unique so it’s called Shat Gumbuj Musque. It has 4 towers at 4 corners and 11 arched doorways on the east side. The interior wall of the mosque has decorated very beautifully. The capacity of  this mosque has 30,000, giving it the respectable position of being the 10th biggest mosque in the world. The holy month of Ramadan the capacity of this mosques increases to at least 40,000. The mosque has built on very high platfrom. Abdulhusein M. Thariani was the designer of this mosque. He designs this mosque very beautifully. The residence people of dhaka want to complete their prayer in this mosque, so on friday mosque stay overcrowd.
